Products

Products I've built

Business technology is not just advice. These are shipped products, built end to end with modern AI-assisted speed.

Hakkan

Worth listening to.

  • Beta
  • Web
  • Research & Content

Most AI writing tools start with a blank page and guess. Hakkan starts with research: it reads the conversation where it actually happens, returns a report where every claim carries receipts, then turns that into publishable work in a voice learned from your own samples.

Built with

  • Next.js 16
  • React 19
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind v4
  • Supabase
  • Vercel AI SDK
  • Claude + Grok
  • Paddle
  • Recharts
  • Sentry
  • Claude Code
  • Hakkan research report showing themes and a sentiment split.
  • Hakkan gathering the conversation across social platforms and the open web.
  • Hakkan persona view, grouping the voices found in the research.
  • Hakkan visual report, charting where the evidence and the sentiment diverge.

InSpiritInTruth

Take your faith into your own hands.

  • In development
  • iOS and Android
  • Faith & Devotion

A weekly devotional written to be read slowly, AI-written ones for whatever you are carrying right now, and the whole Bible in the app. Built for people who cannot always make it to church but still want to stay close to it. No algorithm, no ads.

Built with

  • React Native
  • Expo 56
  • TypeScript
  • Expo Router
  • NativeWind
  • Supabase
  • TanStack Query
  • Reanimated + Skia
  • RevenueCat
  • Claude Code
  • InSpiritInTruth home screen with the week's devotional and the verse of the day.
  • The personalisation step, asking what you are walking through, with mood options below.
  • The devotionals tab, with the option to have one written for you.
  • Discover, browsing devotionals by theme from Faith to Gratitude.
  • The in-app Bible with a highlighted verse and the note and save controls.
  • Profile screen showing a four day reading streak and totals.

tapa.

What can I cook with this?

  • In development
  • iOS and Android
  • Food & Cooking

Deletes one very specific kind of mental load: deciding what to eat. Tell it what is in the fridge by typing, talking or photographing it, and get back a real recipe built around your tastes. Dietary needs are set once and enforced as hard rules.

Built with

  • React Native
  • Expo 56
  • TypeScript
  • NativeWind
  • Supabase
  • SQLite offline cache
  • Zustand
  • Vision + voice input
  • RevenueCat
  • Claude Code
  • tapa. home screen with the day's recipe suggestion.
  • Entering the ingredients you have on hand to generate a recipe.
  • A generated recipe with ingredients and method.
  • Cooking mode, stepping through the method.

CaughtSlipping

The browser extension that calls you out.

  • In development
  • Chrome extension
  • Focus & Productivity

Your phone nags you about screen time, but the real damage happens on the computer you sit at all day. It tracks where the hours go and reports back without mercy. Flip it around and Caught Grinding warns you when productive has quietly become overworking. Everything stays on your device.

Built with

  • Manifest V3
  • Vanilla JS, no framework
  • Service worker
  • declarativeNetRequest
  • Offscreen documents
  • chrome.storage, local only
  • Chart.js
  • Claude Code
  • CaughtSlipping's daily verdict, with a shame meter and a per-site breakdown.
  • The focus view reporting 80 percent productive for the day.
  • Work mode showing hours focused against a balance check.
  • The full list of sites visited during work mode.

Case studies

Case studies

The long version. The starting point, the thinking, the work, and what changed as a result.

[ Thrifty Adventures ]

[ Jul 2025 – Jan 2026 ]

Took a leisure travel brand onto LinkedIn from nothing and came away with 742 leads at R30 — after finding that the offer, not the audience, was what the channel actually rewarded.

  • Paid media
  • Channel testing
  • Lead generation
  • Creative strategy

Thrifty Adventures runs group and tailored tours out of South Africa. LinkedIn is a professional network and they sell holidays, so it is not the channel anyone would pick for them. I ran it properly for seven months, across every objective the platform sells, to find out what it would actually do.

case study

[ Innovatr ]

[ Mar 2026 – Sep 2026 ]

Rebuilt the whole front of a research business — positioning, website, content engine and paid programme — sourced its addressable market from nothing, and replaced a US$8,000-a-year software licence with a product the company could sell.

  • Rebranding
  • Content
  • Paid media
  • Lead sourcing
  • Marketing automation
  • Product build

Innovatr is a consumer research and growth consultancy. I joined as Brand & Marketing Manager and rebuilt the front of the business: the positioning, the website, the content engine that turns research into demand, and the paid programme underneath it. I also built the social listening product the business now sells.

case study

[ Hakkan ]

[ Jul 2026 – present ]

Built a content research tool to fight AI slop — content is created strictly from a researched report, real articles and real conversations, and the tool shows you when a number is derived rather than researched.

  • Product build
  • AI engineering
  • UX
  • Research

Hakkan (発刊, “to publish”) is a research-first content tool. Give it a topic and it reads the actual conversation — Reddit, TikTok, X, YouTube, the open web — then hands you a visual report with receipts, and helps you build content from that research in your own voice. This is the story of why it exists and what it took to make “no slop” true rather than a tagline.

case study

[ InSpiritInTruth ]

[ Jul 2026 – present ]

Brought personalisation to the devotional — a format that has not changed in decades — and engineered it so that an app quoting scripture can never quietly misquote it.

  • Product build
  • Personalisation
  • UX
  • AI engineering

InSpiritInTruth is a devotional app for imperfect journeys — the overwhelmed, the curious, the unchurched, the devoted. The daily devotional format has looked the same for generations: one text, written for everyone, read alone. ISIT keeps that shared rhythm and adds something the format has never had — a devotional written for exactly what you are carrying today.

case study

[ tapa. ]

[ Jul 2026 – present ]

Built a recipe app for every day and kept it radically simple — your ingredients in, one well-considered recipe out — because life needs more simple, and simplicity is a discipline, not a shortcut.

  • Product build
  • UX
  • Simplicity
  • Pricing

tapa. answers one question: “what can I cook with this?” Tell it or show it what you have, say how long you want to cook and for how many people, and it gives you one well-considered recipe. Not fifty search results. One good answer. The case study is about what keeping something that simple actually costs.
