Products I've built

Product management is best shown, not told. Four products I've built and run: the problem, the decisions and the numbers.

InSpiritInTruth

Take your faith into your own hands.

  • Live
  • iOS and Android
  • Faith & Devotion

Devotionals written for whatever you're carrying, alongside the shared readings and the whole Bible. It complements tradition rather than replacing it. No feed, no ads.

Problem
The devotional has not changed in generations: one text, written for everyone. The communal side of faith is well served. The personal side gets a template.
Approach
Share what you're carrying and get a devotional rooted in scripture, fact-checked before you read it. The home screen learns the themes you return to.
Result
131 active users in the last 28 days, two paying subscribers in its first two months, and a 5.0 App Store rating from six reviews.

Built with

  • React Native
  • Expo 57
  • TypeScript
  • Expo Router
  • NativeWind
  • Supabase
  • TanStack Query
  • Reanimated + Skia
  • RevenueCat
  • Claude Code

  • InSpiritInTruth home screen with the week's devotional and the verse of the day.
  • The personalisation step, asking what you are walking through, with mood options below.
  • The devotionals tab, with the option to have one written for you.
  • Discover, browsing devotionals by theme from Faith to Gratitude.
  • The in-app Bible with a highlighted verse and the note and save controls.
  • Profile screen showing a four day reading streak and totals.

tapa.

What can I cook with this?

  • Live
  • iOS and Android
  • Food & Cooking

Type, say or snap what's in your kitchen and get a real meal back, your diet enforced as a hard rule. Variety from the same shelf, minus the deciding.

Problem
Deciding what to eat is the daily tax on being an adult. Recipe sites answer it with fifty results.
Approach
Cook with what you have. Type, talk or snap the fridge; dietary choices are set once and enforced every time.
Result
47 active users in the last 28 days. The free tier was set from how often people actually cook, not from hope, so the upgrade lands at a real moment of need.

Built with

  • React Native
  • Expo 57
  • TypeScript
  • NativeWind
  • Supabase
  • SQLite offline cache
  • Zustand
  • Vision + voice input
  • RevenueCat
  • Claude Code

  • tapa. home screen with the day's recipe suggestion.
  • Entering the ingredients you have on hand to generate a recipe.
  • A generated recipe with ingredients and method.
  • Cooking mode, stepping through the method.

CaughtSlipping

The browser extension that calls you out.

  • Live
  • Chrome extension
  • Focus & Productivity

A sarcastically honest friend in your browser that calls out the procrastinator and warns the workaholic. Everything stays on your device.

Problem
Screen-time tools live on the phone and only nag the distracted. The browser is where work and distraction both happen, and nobody warns the overworked.
Approach
Hold both accountable: track where the hours go and call you out, then flip to Caught Grinding when productive turns into overworking.
Result
183 installs and one uninstall in its first six months: 99% kept it. No account, no server, everything stays on your device.

Built with

  • Manifest V3
  • Vanilla JS, no framework
  • Service worker
  • declarativeNetRequest
  • Offscreen documents
  • chrome.storage, local only
  • Chart.js
  • Claude Code

  • CaughtSlipping's daily verdict, with a shame meter and a per-site breakdown.
  • The focus view reporting 80 percent productive for the day.
  • Work mode showing hours focused against a balance check.
  • The full list of sites visited during work mode.

Hakkan

Worth listening to.

  • Beta
  • Web
  • Content Research & Development

A research and writing assistant built to fight AI slop. It turns the real conversation on your topic into a cited report, then helps you write from it in your own voice.

Problem
“Slop” made Oxford's 2024 Word of the Year shortlist: fluent AI content that knows nothing. Writing tools that start from a blank page produce it by design.
Approach
Research before writing: a cited report as the source of truth, your own voice to write from it, and a trends module to stay current.
Result
Rebuilding the evidence filter took real human voices from 29% of citations to 57%. Anything the model inferred is flagged, not hidden.

Built with

  • Next.js 16
  • React 19
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind v4
  • Supabase
  • Vercel AI SDK
  • Claude + Grok
  • Paddle
  • Recharts
  • Sentry
  • Claude Code

See how it was built

  • Hakkan research report showing themes and a sentiment split.
  • Hakkan gathering the conversation across social platforms and the open web.
  • Hakkan persona view, grouping the voices found in the research.
  • Hakkan visual report, charting where the evidence and the sentiment diverge.
Plus Social Sweep, the social listening product I led for Innovatr: built instead of bought, now sold in every membership.

Case studies

Work done for a business, and what it returned. The starting point, the decisions, the measured outcome — and what I'd do differently.

[ Social Sweep ]

[ Mar 2026 – Sep 2026 ]

Replaced a US$5,000-a-year licence with a tool I built. Now sold in every Innovatr membership.

  • Build vs buy
  • Product strategy
  • AI product
  • Research tooling

Built for Innovatr while I ran its brand and marketing. A build-versus-buy call that became a product.

case study

[ Innovatr ]

[ Mar 2026 – Sep 2026 ]

61% of ad delivery on decision-makers, at a third of the B2B median cost per lead.

  • Rebranding
  • Content
  • Paid media
  • Lead sourcing
  • Marketing automation

Rebrand, CRM and paid engine for a consumer research consultancy, in seven months.

case study

[ Thrifty Adventures ]

[ Jul 2025 – Jan 2026 ]

Lead forms at 3× the LinkedIn norm, and 3.1 million organic views on TikTok.

  • Paid media
  • Organic social
  • Search
  • Lead generation
  • Channel strategy

A South African tour operator. I gave each of four channels one job, and turned attention into leads.

case study

[ Filosofee ]

[ 2024 – present ]

A streetwear brand built end to end: sales in month one, then a first wholesale order.

  • E-commerce
  • Brand
  • Product design
  • Photography
  • AI production

Range, store, payments, shoot and marketing for a South African streetwear label.

case study

[ LumiSkin ]

[ Mar 2026 ]

A premium product site in a day for under $300, against $6,500+ the usual way.

  • Art direction
  • AI production
  • Front-end
  • Motion

A meme said this brief was too expensive to build. AI and the right tools said otherwise.

case study

[ Making content agentically ]

[ Sep – Oct 2026 ]

A logo, an App Store page, two films and covers, made by directing AI tools.

  • Agentic workflow
  • MCP
  • Branding
  • Motion
  • Content

Claude drove real design and video software through MCP. My job was the brief, the taste and the no.

case study

[ ISIT on iPhone Duo ]

[ Oct 2026 ]

Apple's foldable has five poses. I found what would break in ISIT before readers did, and redesigned it for the fold.

  • UX research
  • Adaptive layout
  • Foldables
  • iOS

ISIT is my devotional app. I researched the Duo, mocked every pose at true size and built the fix. It ships in 1.8.
